Established by husband and wife Simon and Caroline Ross in early 2019, the Spirit O’Clyde Drinks Company is focused on producing great Scottish Gins and spirits that pay tribute to the area and community where the family have lived for generations, Clydebank. The range of ‘Ar Baile’ Gins, Gaelic for ‘Our Town’, is distilled in Glasgow’s Gorbals and then hand labelled and bottled by the Ross family.
Clydebank is a town located in West Dunbartonshire, on the famous river Clyde. Known for shipbuilding and industry, the area has strong ties to industrial endeavour, innovation and engineering excellence with the shipyards building Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Elizabeth 2, famous ships that were used by the British Royal Family. The area underwent a period of redevelopment and preservation and now acts as a tourist attraction and area of local importance.
Ar Baile Dry Gin is a classic gin recipe featuring juniper, liquorice root and coriander along with a number of botanicals that add a little zest and spice including lemongrass, pink peppercorns and bilberries to create a well balanced, traditional gin.

Ar Baile Tropical Gin uses the Ar Baile Dry Gin as the base gin, which is then slowly infused with pineapple and coconut to create tropical summer in a glass. Rich bursts of sweet pineapple blend with the scent and taste of ripe coconuts along with notes from the classic gin base used to create this bright, fun and tasty gin.

Ar Baile Rose Gold Gin uses the Ar Baile Dry Gin as the base gin, which is then slowly infused with raspberries to create a fruity, sweet gin that’s rich in flavour and glows in colour. Bright notes of raspberries along with classic gin notes including juniper, citrus and spice come together to create a well balanced, slightly sweeter and fruitier gin.
