Although some of Scotland’s gin makers have come into distillation through an obvious path, like higher education in brewing and distilling, some are self-taught and have learned their craft through apprenticeships or worked their way up through an established distillery. For many, their venture into the world of Scottish Gin has seen them leave behind a very different career or diversify their existing business to make Scottish Gin. In Growing with Gin, we meet Scotland’s Gin makers and business owners who, one way or another, have taken a risk to follow their passion and dreams of establishing their own Scottish Gin brand.
