Age Restrictions
You must be aged 18 or over to purchase alcohol. It is an offence to sell alcohol to anyone under the age of 18 in the UK. When ordering and making payment you will be required to confirm that you are aged 18 or over. If your order is a gift and contains alcohol, the recipient must also be aged 18 years or older. Deliveries must be signed for by a person of 18 years or older. If our carriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request ID. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt.
Drink Responsibly

Products & Pricing
All prices are pounds sterling and include UK duty and VAT, unless otherwise specified. Payment can be made using credit/debit cards or Apple Pay or Chrome Pay, all through Stripe, or valid gift vouchers purchased on the website. Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from date of purchase. We cannot take orders by phone or email.
We reserve the right to withdraw or replace products online without notice. Prices, promotions and specifications are also subject to change without notice. We also reserve the right to refuse, limit or cancel orders made. We aim to ensure the prices shown are correct. If an error does occur, we will make every effort to contact you to confirm if you would like to proceed with the order at the correct price. Even where your payment is accepted by our systems, no contract shall exist until we have dispatched the items to you.
Delivery

We always aim to deliver your order promptly but cannot accept liability for delay. We aim to process and dispatch orders within 24 hours. All delivery is subject to availability. If we are unable to deliver for whatever reason, or we are informed of significant delays out with our control, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative delivery or full refund. Delivery prices and times are dependent on the products, quantities and destination. Working days are Monday-Friday and exclude UK public holidays. Dates provided are given as a guide only.
Deliveries must be signed for by a person of 18 years or older. If our carriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request ID. We reserve the right to cancel the delivery if the age and identity of the recipient is in doubt.
If the recipient fails to accept the delivery or to respond to carrier cards, the delivery will be returned to us. It is the recipient’s responsibility to communicate to us and/or to our carrier if there are any known issues related to delivery. There may be a charge for re-delivery. We reserve the right to restrict deliveries or to withdraw services to individual addresses based on exceptional circumstances.
Delivery of goods will be recorded by the carrier. It is the responsibility of the recipient and/or customer to report goods damaged in transit. We cannot be held liable for any breakages once you have accepted and signed for your delivery. Customers accept responsibility for the safe storage and use of the products upon delivery. The Gin Cooperative is not liable for damage caused by customer mishandling.
It is the responsibility of the customer to enter the correct name and address of the recipient. If you wish to change the details once an order has been placed, please contact us as soon as possible. However, if the order has been shipped, the name and address of the recipient cannot then be changed. Under these circumstances, where the incorrect information has been entered by the customer during the checkout process, the delivery will be attempted to the name and address provided. If the name and/or address is incorrect or does not exist, the package may be returned to us. A replacement order and delivery can only be processed and shipped if and when the original order is returned to us and you may be asked to pay for the second delivery. There is no guarantee that the original order will be returned to us and unfortunately we cannot be held liable for incorrect information entered at checkout by the customer, as ultimately the order has been fulfilled by The Gin Cooperative.
Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
If you wish to return merchandise goods only, they must be returned in their original packaging to: The Gin Cooperative, Mayfield, Oyne, Insch, Aberdeenshire Scotland, AB52 6QT. Please note that return shipping will be paid by the customer except in cases where goods are faulty, in which case they will be reimbursed to the customer. Once the goods are received back and verified, a refund will be processed for the goods, minus applicable shipping costs, unless the return concerns faulty or damaged goods.
Regarding any food, beverage, drink or spirit goods, if there is a problem with your order, items are faulty, or you wish to return goods for any other reason, please contact us at hello@thegincooperative.com. We reserve the right to collect faulty products for inspection. This does not affect your statutory rights.
To cancel a Scottish Gin Subscription Service, this can simply be done by logging into your account, visiting the subscription page from your account dashboard and cancelling the relevant subscription.

It is not intended to (and does not) amount to advice on which you should rely. Although we make reasonable efforts to update the information on our website, we make no representations, promises or guarantees that the content on our website is accurate, complete or up-to-date. We may update our website at any time. Despite our best efforts, some of the content on our website may be out of date at any given time, and we are under no obligation to update it. If you do notice something that is wrong please contact hello@thegincooperative.com and where appropriate the incorrect information will be amended as soon as reasonably possible.

Awards
1. Definitions
1.1 – Scottish Gin – a gin that is distilled, rectified or cold compounded in Scotland by a business based in Scotland that believes in the term Scottish Gin and champions and promotes the term Scottish Gin through their marketing and social media activities. Gins that use a pre-made base gin that is produced outside of Scotland before further production in Scotland are not eligible for Entry.
1.2 – Entrant – the gin producer/business owner/brand owner.
1.3 – Entry or Entries – the gins entered into The Gin Cooperative Awards.
1.4 – Sample or Samples – the physical gin samples submitted to The Gin Cooperative Awards for judging.
1.5 – Organiser – The Gin Cooperative Ltd, SC585241, VAT No. 400 2185 59.
1.6 – Awards/Competition – The Gin Cooperative Awards.
1.7 – T&Cs – Terms and Conditions
2. General
2.1 – Section headings are included for structure only and have no legal effect.
2.2 – The Organiser’s decision is final on all matters.
2.3 – The Organiser reserves the right to amend all dates and deadlines without prior notice.
2.4 – The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or amend the Awards and these T&Cs at any time without prior notice.
2.5 – In the event an Entrant does not agree to be bound by any amended T&Cs, they must inform the organiser they wish to withdraw from the Competition.
2.6 – All information submitted will be handled with confidentiality under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018.
3. Product Eligibility
3.1 – Entries must be rectified, distilled or cold compounded in Scotland.
3.2 – Entries must be made by a business registered in Scotland.
3.3 – Entrants must believe in and champion the term Scottish Gin.
3.4 – Entries must be available to buy by the general public.
3.5 – Entries must be branded and marketed as gin meeting the relevant EU regulations related to gin at the time of entering the Competition.
4. Additives
4.1 – Entries cannot contain any illegal additives or additives that are banned in the UK including but not limited to Sudan dyes and Azo dyes. You can find a full list of approved food additives and the parameters of use in retained EU Regulation 1333/2008.
4.2 – Entries cannot contain edible glitter, glitter or glitter substitute including glitter powders, glitter residues, glitter dust, glitter shapes, glitter emulsifiers, flavourings including any of the aforementioned that have been marked safe for use in cooking or safe for human consumption.
4.3 – Entries cannot contain full-spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD, CBD isolate or another format that contains CBD including but not limited to powders, flakes, dust, granules, extracts, oils, residues, emulsifiers, flavourings including any of the aforementioned that have been marked safe for use in cooking or safe for human consumption.
4.4 – Entries cannot contain edible metallic flakes for example ‘gold flakes’ or any other similar additives similar in nature.
5. Entry
5.1 – Entry to the Competition is via the online form only – www.thegincooperative.com/awards/enter
5.2 – Each Entry must be submitted individually.
5.3 – Payment of Entry is upon completion of your Entry form via the online payment portal.
5.4 – Entry fee is non refundable.
5.5 – Entries must be submitted on or before the Competition Entry deadline. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify all late Entries received after the Competition Entry deadline and associated Entry fees are non refundable.
5.6 – The Organiser reserves the right to move Entries into an alternative category.
5.7 – By completing and submitting the Entry form, Entrants (including employees of the Entrant or acting as an agent on behalf of the Entrant), are bound to these T&Cs.
5.8 – By completing and submitting the Entry form, Entrants (including employees of the Entrant or acting as an agent on behalf of the Entrant), accept that all the information provided at the time of Entry is factually correct.
5.9 – Any information deemed misleading or found to be untrue may result in disqualification from the Competition or having Awards revoked at a later date.
5.10 – In the event of disqualification, the Organiser will retain all Entry fees and samples.
5.11 – Entry cost for members of The Gin Cooperative is discounted to £75.00 (ex VAT) per Entry, saving 25% off the standard Entry cost.
5.12 – Entry cost for non-members of The Gin Cooperative is £100.00 (ex VAT) per Entry.
5.13 – Entrants must disclose the number of botanicals in all Entries.
5.14 – Entrants must disclose the full list of botanicals in all Entries.
5.15 – The Organiser requires the aforementioned in the event that any judges suffer from an allergic reaction; The Organiser can swiftly and accurately inform the relevant medical professionals of the contents of the Entry and Sample.
6. Samples
6.1 – The Sample and its contents must pertain to the Entry made exactly.
6.2 – Entrants are required to provide Samples in the form of 1x 70cl bottle or 2x 50cl bottle per Entry.
6.3 – All Entries will be judged on packaging and therefore all Samples must be labelled and finished with all relevant neck tags and adornments as they would be sold commercially.
6.4 – Samples, where required, will be photographed and used as part of the judging process for the packaging element of the Awards.
6.5 – Entrant is responsible for packaging and posting of Samples to Organiser including associated insurance to cover any loss, damage or theft of Samples in transit, where appropriate.
6.6 – Samples must be with the Organiser within 7 days of the Competition Entry deadline.
6.7 – Late Samples will not be eligible for Entry and will be retained by the Organiser.
6.8 – The Organiser will not be held responsible for loss, damage or theft of Samples in transit from the Entrant to the Organiser.
6.9 – The Entrant is responsible for all applicable taxes for the Sample including duty.
6.10 – All Samples must have a duty stamp.
6.11 – All Samples must be sent to: The Gin Cooperative, Mayfield, Oyne, Aberdeenshire, AB52 6QT.
7. Judging
7.1 – Judges will be provided with a digital scoresheet for evaluation of allocated Entries.
7.2 – The Organisers reserve the right to remove judges from the Awards process without prior notice at any stage of the Competition.
7.3 – Digital scoresheet data may be shared with academic third parties for research purposes only.
7.4 – Digital scoresheet data and feedback may be shared with the Entrants, with the judges name(s) removed, for their Entries only.
7.5 – Judges may be informed of the associated Entry brand and gin, once the winners have been announced to the general public, for their judged Samples only.
7.6 – The Organiser reserves the right to omit feedback to the Entrant if it is deemed derogatory or not of a constructive nature.
8. Results
8.1 – The Organisers decisions will be final and will not be open to challenge.
8.2 – Entrants agree they will only use the graphical assets provided by the Organiser, for example winners badges or finalists badges, on the Entries entered and no other products.
9. Liability
9.1 – By entering the Competition all Entrants agree to take part in any publicity or promotion of the Competition reasonably requested by the Organiser.
9.2 – The Organiser will not be liable to Entrants for any consequential losses (i.e. loss of revenue, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss or damage to data or information) arising out of, or in connection with, the provision of any aspect of the Awards including but not limited to the judging process, communication of finalists or winners or any other Awards related processes or communications.
10. Governing Law
10.1. These terms will be governed by Scottish law and all parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
