SOS Gin is made using hand-foraged 100% Scottish Lowland juniper, rosehip and rhubarb blended with chamomile before being distilled in small batches in a copper pot still. Presented in a contemporary bottle with an angel logo in silver foil print and a glass stopper. SOS Gin is extremely smooth with juniper at the fore giving way to the unique blend of floral notes from the rosehip, fresh rhubarb and chamomile with undertones of liquorice and vanilla.

Flavours
Nose
Soft, floral and mildly fruity with a zippy citrus tang and punchy sweetness.
Taste
Sweet cooked fruit sensation, soft and well rounded, with ample amounts of fresh pine and a hint of orange citrus.
Finish
Warming, light cinnamon finish, with undertones of liquorice, vanilla and white chocolate.

About SOS Gin
SOS Gin is based in Loanhead, Midlothian and is the brain child of owner Mark. The signature gin is SOS Gin Scotland’s Other Spirit. SOS Gin Scotland’s Other Spirit was born in the Lowlands of Scotland using local botanicals to create an alternative taste in this uniquely flavoured craft gin.
Scottish Lowland juniper is carefully hand-foraged by the SOS team to ensure that the following year’s harvest remains undisturbed. Rosehip is also hand-foraged and de-seeded prior to use with the seeds being returned to nature. Rhubarb is another ingredient and is sourced from friends and family’s gardens.
Production
Mark has always been hands on with production, not only hand foraging and collecting all the botanicals that go into making SOS Gin but actively involved in filling the still and assisting with distillation. Initially SOS Gin was produced at Strathearn Distillery, before making use of the facilities at Gatehouse Gin temporarily and now working in partnership with The Biggar Gin Co.
