SOS Gin is made using hand-foraged 100% Scottish Lowland juniper, rosehip and rhubarb blended with chamomile before being distilled in small batches in a copper pot still. Presented in a contemporary bottle with an angel logo in silver foil print and a glass stopper. SOS Gin is extremely smooth with juniper at the fore giving way to the unique blend of floral notes from the rosehip, fresh rhubarb and chamomile with undertones of liquorice and vanilla.

SOS Gin is based in Loanhead, Midlothian near Edinburgh, and is the brain child of owners Mark and Craig. The signature gin is SOS Gin: Scotland’s Other Spirit. SOS Gin was born in the Lowlands of Scotland using local botanicals to create an alternative taste in this uniquely flavoured craft gin. Scottish Lowland juniper is carefully hand-foraged by the SOS team to ensure that the following year’s harvest remains undisturbed. Rosehip is also hand-foraged and de-seeded prior to use with the seeds being returned to nature. Rhubarb is another ingredient and is sourced from friends and family’s gardens.
London Dry Gin
London Dry Gin is both a flavour profile and a production method. London Dry Gins tend to follow the traditional, classic flavour of piney juniper, citrus and spice. Alongside juniper, botanicals in London Dry Gin often include orris root, angelica root, cassia bark, citrus peel and coriander, among the core botanicals. The result is a dry gin that features piney juniper along with bursts of citrus and warming spice and earthy, dry notes from use of botanicals such as cassia bark and coriander. Nothing synthetic can be added like flavourings or colours and nothing can be added post distillation apart from water and a tiny amount of sugar meaning all flavours come from distillation.
Uniquely distilled with only four botanicals, all Scottish and hand-foraged; specifically juniper, rosehip, rhubarb and chamomile. This gin was developed by founders Mark and Craig Munnoch-Wahlberg after discovering these rather special ingredients on their doorstep. The couple knew that they would have to partner with an established distillery to upscale their recipe and Strathearn Distillery obliged as well as allowing them to be fully involved and on-site with every distillation.
