One Square in Edinburgh’s Sheraton Hotel is known for its modern Scottish cuisine and ever growing global selection of gins, currently sitting at over 100 carefully selected gins. In the heart of Scotland’s capital City, the venue features a terraced area that provides amazing views up to Edinburgh Castle.
The team at One Square know a thing or two about gin but realised there was something missing from the array of bottles behind the bar, a gin to call their own. With Edinburgh and Leith’s ties to shipping of goods including gin, botanicals and exotic goods from all over the world, the team were inspired to create a gin that combined fifteen botanicals from around the world.
Containing fifteen botanicals sourced from all four corners of the globe, One Square Gin is produced in small batches at the Summerhall Distillery, Edinburgh, exclusively for One Square Restaurant & Bar. The use of orris root and Mediterranean liquorice provides a hearty kick of heat and spice, whilst juniper and Scottish heather contribute herbal, sweet notes. Anise along with the citrus of lemon and lime combine to create a complex but refreshing and invigorating gin.
