Vicky and Dale McQueen had the ambitious plan of starting up their own distillery where they could create and produce gins that were unique, original and added something new and exciting to the world of Scottish Gin. Vicky and Dale used their background in Software to review and crunch the feedback data from 3,000 tasters who tried 100 potential recipes. Based on this feedback Vicky and Dale narrowed down the recipes until they were left with a few that were both different and tasted great. Their gins provide drinkers with the sense of adventure that they both have themselves, with intriguing flavour profiles and a truly exciting product range.
In 2016 the Trossachs Distillery was established based in Callander in the lower Highlands of Scotland. They wasted no time getting to work creating an original, bold range of Scottish Gins that were unique and innovative. With demand and growth over the next two years came the opening of the Robert McQueen building in 2019. The new 6,200ft² distillery will allow Dale, Vicky and the team to increase production capacity by over 1000%.
