Kevin and Lorien Cameron-Ross, owners and founders of Loch Ness Spirits, have family ties to the Loch Ness area and the Highlands stretching back over 500 years. The husband and wife team produce a variety of Scottish spirits, including their signature Real and Rare Scottish Gin, which is produced only four times a year in limited, numbered small batches and Scottish Absinthe. All spirits are distilled, labelled and bottled on-site on the banks of Loch Ness at their distillery.
Loch Ness Spirits are one of the few distillers in Scotland that uses native Scottish juniper berries, with the Loch Ness climate providing excellent growing conditions for their crop of premium ‘black gold’ juniper plants, which produce smaller berries than some of the commercially grown juniper berries available from Europe but said to be full of flavour, complexity, naturally shaped by the Loch Ness landscape. Loch Ness Spirits also use water sourced directly from Loch Ness, adding provenance and undeniable Scottish quality.
Sadly due to a change in the business, Loch Ness Spirits had to cease production and trading in 2022, leaving a real and rare legacy with gin drinkers seeking out the very few bottles of spirits produced at the distillery that are still available.
Small batch, crafted Scottish Gin distilled, bottled and labelled by hand at the Loch Ness Spirits distillery on the banks of Loch Ness. Made from a variety of local botanicals including the rare ‘black gold’ juniper berries. Loch Ness Gin is true to the Loch Ness Spirits’ motto - real and rare.

Overlooking the shores of Loch Ness and surrounded by a mix of rugged mountain slopes and green rolling fields, you’ll find the Loch Ness Spirits Distillery discreetly tucked away off the beaten track in a traditional stone horse stable. The distillery is home to three stills, two traditional alembic copper pot stills named ‘Tiny Tony’ and ‘Not Tony’ as a thoughtful nod to a well respected Scottish distiller and an iStill. All distillation takes place at the distillery along with all bottling and labelling, which is done by hand.
