Famous for its red doors, single malt whiskies and distillation excellence, the Benromach Distillery has been producing spirits in the Highlands for over 120 years. The distillery, with its distinct red features, which contrast sharply against the white exterior of the distillery, has grown a reputation for distillation excellence and producing premium Scottish spirits.
The idea for Red Door Highland Gin brand was born after guests taking part in the distillery’s whisky experiences, including tours and tasting events, would continually ask, “When would the distillery launch a Scottish Gin?”. The Benromach Distillery team saw an opportunity to create a new Scottish Gin brand, Scottish Gins, that featured local botanicals and a unique Scottish Gin distillery experience for visitors, and tied the brand directly to the existing distillery’s long history and heritage.
Red Door Gin is elegantly simple and beautifully balanced. It delivers signature notes of juniper and defining citrus bite of bitter orange, with aromatic sea buckthorn, grassy, floral pearls of heather and chocolatey, smoky rowanberries.

The second release in their seasonal edition expressions, Red Door Gin with Summer Botanicals was created with summer in mind; the botanicals carefully selected to create a deliciously dry, crisp gin. The gin is described as beautifully bright with fresh flavours of aromatic bergamot, rose petals, holy thistle and the sweetness of Scottish raspberries. These summer botanicals are complemented by the signature notes of Red Door's original gin; sea buckthorn, bitter orange peel, juniper berries, angelica root, coriander seed.

The third release in their seasonal edition expressions, Red Door Gin with Autumn Botanicals was created to evoke a feeling and taste of autumn. The expression blends the mellow fruitfulness of Scottish blackberry, both berries and leaves, alongside fresh fragrant pine needles and ripe sea buckthorn.

A limited edition seasonal gin, Red Door Highland Gin with Winter Botanicals, is the first seasonal edition gin from the Benromach Distillery. The gin has been created to capture the winter season and is distilled using allspice, sultanas, hop blossom, blood orange and sea buckthorn. The botanicals blend to create a warming, fruit and spice flavour profile that delivers a gin described as being the perfect winter warmer on a cold, dark winters night.

The Red Door Highland Gin distillery is hidden in plain sight behind one of the many real red doors at the Benromach distillery. Built in 1898, the distillery houses both whisky stills and a bespoke Forsyth’s engineered gin still named ‘Peggy’. The Red Door Highland Gin distillery is primarily open plan, except for the glass wall separating the distillery and the tasting room. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the distillery, participate in an interactive botanical experience, learn more about gin production and enjoy a guided tasting of the Red Door Highland Gin range. The main Benromach Distillery shop is well stocked with various whiskies and the Red Door Highland Gin range of Scottish Gins.
