How do you create a gin? Why use certain botanicals? We meet the people behind the gin brands to discover how they developed their gin recipe. What was the inspiration for the recipe and what were some of the challenges? We learn more about some of the botanicals used, the distillation process and more. Some started off making gin in homemade stills heated up on the kitchen stove where others have worked with a local distillery to develop their recipe under the guidance of an experienced distiller. The people and processes can vary greatly but they all share the same goal – to create fantastic Scottish Gin.
