Cushiedoos is a small batch premium tonic made with Scottish botanicals and contains no quinine. Quinine comes from the bark of the cinchona tree and is usually a key ingredient in tonic water providing the slightly bitter taste normally associated with tonic water.
Cushiedoos on the other hand, uses only a selection of Scottish botanicals and water sourced from a freshwater spring in Deeside, Aberdeenshire. The founder of Cushiedoos, Andrew Ligertwood, came up with the idea after a weekend away with his better half when everything on the menu at the hotel they were staying in was Scottish – apart from the tonic in the G&T! Not only is Cushiedoos quinine free but there’s no artificial sweeteners or preservatives and it only contains low levels of natural sugar.
