In our latest Shaken & Stirred we asked the team at Kinrara Distillery to suggest one of the many ways we can enjoy their signature Kinrara Scottish Highland Dry Gin in a cocktail at home and they proposed, and most importantly taste tested, The Last Word, which makes for a deliciously tart and balanced drink. A classic and relatively minimal cocktail yet the ingredients create a complex aroma and taste with the mixed flavours of gin, sweet cherry, freshly squeezed lime juice and the aromatic botanical Chartreuse liqueur. Traditionally prepared in equal parts, Kinrara opted to double the gin dose for obvious reasons.
Here’s what you need to know…
• 40ml Kinrara Scottish Highland Dry Gin
• 20ml Green Chartreuse
• 20ml Maraschino liqueur
• 20ml Freshly squeezed lime juice
• Twist of lime and maraschino cherry, to garnish
These measures are a guide only and can be tailored to suit your own personal taste.
Shake all the ingredients over ice and fine strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass. Garnish with a twist of lime and maraschino cherry.
Have fun and enjoy your drink responsibly.
