Negroni

A Scottish twist on an Italian classic.

We couldn’t let Negroni week pass us by… what better way to enjoy a classic cocktail than with a classic read. A Florentine Negroni and a Sicilian tale, The Godfather by Mario Puzo. We used The Botanist Gin to give this classic Italian drink a Scottish twist. Talking of twists, we went for a small wedge of grapefruit and a twist of orange peel.

INGREDIENTS

• 30ml Scottish Gin
• 30ml Sweet vermouth
• 60ml Campari
• Small wedge of grapefruit and twist of orange peel to garnish

These measures are a guide only and can be tailored to suit your own personal taste.

METHOD

Simply stir the gin, vermouth and Campari in a glass over ice. Garnish with the grapefruit wedge and orange twist.

Negroni week is the annual event hosted by Imbibe and Campari that helps raise funds for charities around the world.
