The classics never die and for good reason. Our Martini cocktail is what you would have been served if you had ordered a Martini around 1910, with equal parts gin and vermouth and aptly named ‘Fifty Fifty’. We used Isle of Harris Gin from Isle of Harris Distillers paying homage to their ‘The Martini Project’.
These measurements are a guide only and you should adjust to suit your own taste.
Ideally you would freeze your bottles of gin and vermouth in advance of making this cocktail then simply stir your ingredients together in a chilled martini glass. Alternatively, if you’re short on time, pour the gin and vermouth into a cocktail shaker with ice and stir with a long bar spoon until well chilled then add to a chilled martini glass. Either way, don’t forget to add the olive.
